RISE OF KEJRIWAL:
December 8 th 2013 the four state assembly results were announced. Though bjp won three state with absolute majority the media, people talked about AAP. This is because AAP reduced the congress into single digits and three time chief minster Sheila dikshit lost her mla seat to kejriwal. Though bjp won 32 seats and was major gainer in Delhi AAP stole the show by winning 28 seats and convincing 29 % of delhi's voters in their first outing. Many political pundits described it as a major turn around in India's democracy. Eventually bjp refused to form the government in Delhi citing that they did not have a simple majority, initially AAP also refused to form the government and told bjp and congress should form an alliance, Then bjp leaders especially Arun jailtley said that AAP is shying away from responsibilities, they are afraid of forming government. After discussions and many in media believe kejriwal should form a govt. kejriwal wrote letters to bjp leader Rajnath Singh and congress top brass that he has 10 point agenda , If they support these agendas he is ready to form a government. Then he also added that after getting the support he'll go back to people to check whether they support AAP's idea of getting support from congress or bjp. Bjp rejected the proposal but congress accepted it . He then took charge as cm of Delhi.
THE U- TURNS:
Kejriwal promised 50 % cut on electricity rates,700 litres of waters a month, jan lok pal in 15 days.These were his main agenda's. He told he is going to cut electricity charges by 50 %. , He also announced people who did not pay electricity bills( people who supported kejriwal by not paying electricity charges in congress rule) their electricity bill will be waived off,(People who obeyed and paid the bill for them??? ).Then ,700 litres of water to each house hold was the promise but provided only to people who have water meter. Harshvardhan opposition leader BJP says most of the house hold don't have water meter's.
House u turn and more:
Kejriwal wanted himself to projected as common man. Soon after becoming cm he was offered two bungalow one for his office purpose other for him to stay. Kejriwal first accepted the proposal but soon after TV reports, he rejected it . He then asked for a normal house, Then officials started to search for a house hold once again kejriwal took a u turn and accepted the bungalow citing new hose hold would be costlier (goa cm stays in his house which is very ordinary,even after his resignation there are reports that still he is staying in those bungalow). Then his security drama,Since he wanted to project himself as simple cm( there were cm's like hegde who would have minium security and Still Tripura cm manick Sarkar have minimum security) but kejriwal thinks he is the first cm to do so. US police revealed z security was provide to him and Delhi police also confirmed they are continuing it. Then,Darbar drama, he said every week he would hold janata darbar and people can tell their grievances and action would be taken on the spot. First janata darbar took place and govt. expected 5000 people but more than 50,000 people attended and there were chaos. Darbar had to be stopped and kejriwal announced no more darbar'a would be held. Lastly he tabled jan lok pal on his 45 th day after coming to power not in first 15 days as he promised.
Controversially Somnath bharthy :
Somnath bharthy law minister in kejriwal's cabinet asked "all judges to meet up in his office for a meeting". He was not informed I suppose that judiciary is a separate body and they were not clerks or other govt. officials. AAP spokesperson came out with defence that "he was not aware " , then why should he stay as minister.After this Somnath bharthy went on night raids. He entered a house and ordered a search against African women in that building citing suspicion of prostitution. Police which is not in control of Delhi govt. said they don't have authority to carry out such raid. He got tensed and said he'll raid if they don't do it. This is how he took law in his hand
Anarchism, resignation, mobocracy:
Then in two days whole AAP party jumped into streets of Delhi to suspend those police officers(cm kejriwal led the protest). He said only if they are suspended they would lay down the protest. Then shinde central home minster sent them on leave. Kejriwal thought he has won, While during the protest he mentions that he is a anarchist. Then he sensed growing dissatisfaction against him. He soon said he is going to table Jan lok pal( only central govt has the permission to amend new laws). But he was not bothered his cabinet cleared the bill, then they tabled it in Delhi assembly , since it is un constitutional both congress and the bjp stopped from passing it. He got a reason to resign "while trying to pass jan lok pal bjp congress joined and stopped it". He resigned in 49 th day. Then after that he started to work on lok sabha, Many social activist also joined his party. Once he said "corruption is India's biggest problem" but knowing congress is weakening up and bjp is the party to oppose " he said more than any other problem communalism is the biggest threat". Then to improve his stunts he wrote open letter to ambani that he is the reason behind gas price in india(if he has facts why can't he file a public interest litigation against ambani). Then to gain more ground in this matter he said" modi model is to support people like ambanis. Modi should tell people that from where does the money come for his rallies "."does he have a will to reduce gas price or will ambani run the govt if he becomes pm". In all news paper dailies there ere article suggesting kejriwal's main target is becoming modi. Then on 3 rd march 2014 kejriwal said " I am going to visit Gujarat to check is there is any development, if so we can implement in Delhi". On 5 th march when the election dates are announced he went to Gujarat. He was detained for half an hour since code of conduct have been implemented eventually released, soon after this incident kejriwal declared" modi is afraid of him, he is scared that he will expose so called Gujarat development model" he also added" modi supports super rich and makes farmers to suffer". He was in Gujarat for 1 hour so and he has analysed Gujarat and jump into conclusion. Hours later a group of AAP's led by aashutosh protested in BJP HQ for their leaders detention. They climbed on gate and teared banners of bjp leaders including atal ji, advani, modi, Rajnath sing etc. bjp workers got provoked and retaliated. Then fight spread to Lucknow, Ahmedabad etc. Then now aap saying bjp is hooligans they are attacking us.If you look at the correlation we can understand aap's strategy. They are trying to politicise the situation. Everyone thought kejriwal will become a voice of common man but he is showing "he is yet another common politician".
